Veterinarians on Staff

Christine Madaski, DVM

Dr. Madaski, owner of The Cat Hospital of Canterbury, earned her degree from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She previously worked in a mixed species practice that included horse, dogs, and cats, as well as other animals. Moving to small animals only, she discovered how much she loved and understood cats!  The Cat Hospital of Canterbury was opened in 1999 to provide a quiet, loving, healing environment for cats only.

Dr. Madaski lives in Woodstock.  Dr. Madaski rides her horse Europa, plays tennis and enjoys bird watching.  (Her cats say she gets it from them.)

Tracy Locke Zulick, DVM

Tracy Locke Zulick, DVM

Dr. Zulic graduated from Tufts Veterinary School in 2000.  She practiced in a mixed animal practice for 5 years.  She worked on all species of livestock, dogs, cats, birds, etc., and even worked at the Plainfield Race Track taking care of the greyhounds   Then Dr. Zulick switched to a small animal practice and cared for dogs, cats, and the occasional rabbit or ferret.  Now she is with Dr. Madaski taking care of cats – which she LOVES!  Dr. Zulick worked with Dr. Madaski as a technician before she went to veterinary school and always hoped that she would one day work with her.

Dr. Zulick lives in Ashford with her husband Rick.  They own an old farmhouse and have a small farm where they raise hay, vegetables, fruit, and sheep.  They have three adult children – Calvin, Rachel, and Alison.  Our pets include 3 cats, Cleo, Gilbert, and Yoda, Beacon, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, and an inherited cockatiel named Ariel.  For fun they like to hike and bird watch and go sailing.
